Inui Kazunobu (乾和宣)
Kazunobu INUI (year of birth unknown - June 9, 1570) was a samurai in the Azuchi-Momoyama period. He was a vassal of Nobunaga ODA. His previous name was Kujuro. Afterward he was called Sakubei. His Kamon (family crest) was 'Maru ni Kikyo' (Chinese bellflower in a circle).
Career
Kazunobu INUI was born as the legitimate child of Kyuemon Shigeyori INUI (TOKI) in Ikeda County, Mino Province. His father Shigeyori belonged to the Inui clan which was a branch of the Toki clan of Seiwa-Genji (the Minamoto clan), and he told his name as the Toki clan first and changed it to the Inui clan later. It is said that his father was killed in the battle of Onoyama in 1522 (according to another opinion, in the battle of 1518).
He worked for Nobunaga ODA, but he was killed in the battle of Kanegasaki in Echizen Province on June 9, 1570.
Family
The legitimate son: Kazunobu (Hikosaku) INUI
In 1578, he was called out by Kazutoyo YAMAUCHI and became his vassal. On January 18, 1586, he fell victim of the Nagahama earthquake and was killed. Died at 42.
The second son: Nobumitsu (Shichirozaemon) INUI
In 1578, he began to work for Akamatsu Hoki no kami (the governor of Hoki Province) of Tajima Province, and afterward he was called out by Kazutoyo YAMAUCHI and became his vassal. In 1611, he died of a disease.
The third son: Kazumitsu (Bingo) INUI
In 1578, he was called out with his elder brother Kazunobu by Kazutoyo YAMAICHI in Harima Province and became his vassal. On February 20, 1633, he died of a disease.
